Planting and maintaining grass

Several distinct advantages make end of the winter and the beginning of spring the best time to plant cool-season grass seed.

For planting grass see, follow below our advices below:

Growing grass in the garden, in addition to its unique beauty, prevents gradual soil erosion. Spring season is a very good time to grow grass, because the planted grass is plentiful with spring rainfall. Early in the spring, it is very suitable for growing the cold season grass. Younger grass has less time to catch before the start of hot air, but if you start early enough, you will come up with satisfactory results. The second good time is the late summer to early fall. In early autumn, the soil is still warm from months of summer sun. This combination of warm soil, moderate day temperatures and cool evenings encourages fast germination and establishment of newly sown cool-season grass seed. The fresh grass seed has the whole cold season to grow.

This can be the most important step. With the first irrigation, make sure the water is sufficient to wet the underlying soil to a depth of at least 15 to 18 cm. It may be necessary to irrigate several times at a short interval so that the seedbed is completely wet. After that, irrigate as much as 3 cm to the top. Once your new lawn has grown, you can lessen the irrigation due to the weather temperature.

When your beautiful and smooth ground is covered with young grass, lower the irrigation and try to do one day through irrigation. Look carefully at the grass. If the lawn color starts to change from bright green to gray, it needs to be irrigated. You may have to irrigate areas that are fast drying. If the lawn does not dry, keep the intervals between irrigation. Do not forget to do deep irrigation, because the soil moisture is taken up to 20 cm.

If you do not water it, you'll end up with a patchy lawn. Protecting this lawn that is nature-friendly can help protect the land and the healthy environment. When cutting, do not cut them too short.

Mowing

The most important factor in lawning is the height of the grass and mowing rotation. The best height for cutting grass for all types is about five to six cm. Grass cutting at less than five centimeters, because it reduces photosynthesis, reduces drought and increases heat stress, and provides conditions for growing weeds, and the proliferation of diseases and plant pests. All year round trim the lawn with the same height. You do not need to change the length of the grass cutting in the summer or winter. At each lawn mower, cut one third of the grass. In the fertile spring days, the distance between the two mowing can be reached by one week, while the gap in other days of the year when the growth of the grass, due to the air temperature or the amount of dryness, reaches 10 days to two weeks. Try to drop the cut grass on the ground. Cutted grass, which is used as mulch, quickly decomposes. It has high volumes of nutrients and can be used as cheap and strong manure (equivalent to one common fertilizer unit per year) for soils. In a study conducted in one of the states of the United States, 60 to 80 percent of the phosphorus in urban surface waters originated from grass cuttings and leaves shed on the surface of the earth.

Lawn Maintenance

Try not to walk on a lawn that is still not well rooted. If the weather is appropriate, the grass grows.

Reduce the number of trees to get enough sunlight.

Buy a sharp lawn mower and just shorten your lawn when the it is dry.

Improve drainage in the lawn to increase the flow of air to the root.

You just have to remember that if you want to have a good lawn, you have to get to it. If you get to it you will have wonderful grass.
