This relatively new cultivar of Scotch pine was selected at the Trompenburg Arboretum in Rotterdam, Netherlands for its noteworthy silvery-blue color. ‘Bonna’ is a rapid grower, at six to twelve inches per year, and prefers to be planted in full sun. This selection does not only receive praise for its long, soft needles, but also for its cinnamon colored pealing bark. This broad, upright grower will mature into an elegant, five to ten foot specimen tree.
