Jana Miniature Norway Spruce. A treasure for miniature garden and fairy garden enthusiasts. It features all the texture and class of a Norway Spruce, but in a miniature plant package. Short stiff evergreen needles radiate from short stems on a dense, compact plant. Has a tight, low, mounded habit. To compare, has a round compact habit like Picea’, but the longer dark/olive green needles like Picea g. ‘Jean’s Dilly’. Makes a great shrub for miniature gardens, troughs, rock gardens and railroad gardens. Fun to decorate with miniature Christmas lights for the holidays. Prefers full sun and moist, well-drained soil. May grow to 1.5′ tall and wide after 10 years when planted in the ground. Cold hardy to zone 3. Plants are growing in 3.5″h x 4″diameter pots.
