A rare miniature evergreen conifer with a mounded pyramidal form becoming more flat-topped at maturity.It’s gray-blue, fine textured foliage adds a unique color to the landscape. Prefers to be grown in sunny location. It is a very hardy plant that will tolerate difficult conditions.

Performance

There is one Waldbrunn spruce growing at the Xeriscape Demonstration Garden. It is a beautiful little plant with a nice blue color and slow growth rate. We highly recommended this dwarf evergreen where a low, colorful sphere is desired.

 

Maintenance

No maintenance required under normal conditions. Needs regular soil moisture to become established. New growth and young plants can be susceptible to deer browsing.
